From the regular contamination of Escherichia Coli in our food products to the fake chopped steaks recently distributed to the poorest, food scandals follow one another and consumer confidence in the food sector is greatly diminished. It was in order to restore this trust and meet the expectations of citizens that the government implemented the Alim’Confiance system in April 2017.

What is Alim’Confiance?

Alim’confiance is a website, also available as a mobile application, which allows you to consult the results of official controls on food safety. This device allows consumers to know the level of hygiene of all the restaurants, catering trades and food shops in France.

The data is presented on an interactive map allowing you to search for an establishment by name, address or by browsing the map. Once an establishment has been selected, the consumer has access to the date of the last health inspection and the level of hygiene.

Explanation of the information relating to each level of hygiene

Four levels of compliance are possible: "Very satisfactory", "Satisfactory", "To improve", "To correct urgently" and are declined in the form of smiley.

These hygiene levels remain valid for one year after the inspection and the restaurant owner can display his level of hygiene on the front of his establishment.

To sum up, this device will make it possible to clearly and simplify the consumer information about the hygiene of establishments in the food chain.
